Overview
This course will teach you how to administer a Linux system using the command line interface (CLI). It will also cover topics such as networking, security, and troubleshooting.
Introduction to Linux Administration Programming
In addition to learning how to use the CLI, we’ll also learn how to program in Python. We’ll start by creating a simple calculator application. Then, we’ll move on to more advanced programming concepts, such as object oriented programming and data structures.
The Basics of Linux
This course will teach you everything you need to know to administer a Linux server. You’ll learn how to install and configure software packages, manage users and groups, set up file systems, and much more.
Installing Linux
In order to start learning Linux administration, we first need to understand what Linux is. Linux is an operating system based on Unix, developed by Linus Torvalds. It was originally designed as a free replacement for UNIX System V Release 4 (SVR4), but has since grown into its own unique operating system.
Configuring Linux
Once you’ve installed Linux, you’ll need to configure it. This includes setting up users, groups, and permissions. You’ll also need to set up networking, file systems, and other services.
